Yesterday it was finally decided that Alex needed a haircut. The wings over his ears made him look like he was going to fly away. So the family piled itself into the van and headed to the nearest Supercuts.
After arriving, my anxiety for my son, and for the cutting of his soft baby hair, began. The "stylist" had Jim hold Alex in his lap. She began by spraying some water on Alex's head, which instantly put Alex into a screaming fit. Because Alex was screaming, Izabel began to see what was going on, and became defense shouting "NO, MY ALEX! MY ALEX!" I had to physically remove her from the shop to get her to calm down.
Once I explained to her that they weren't hurting Alex, we went back inside. Alex was no longer screaming, but letting the process of his first locks of hair be snipped (he still wasn't happy about it though). For the most part, Alex was a good sport, and now he has a clean cut head of hair, with a certificate from the "stylist" to help commemorate his first hair cut.
