Isaac and I got to come home together yesterday. Jim was very persistent with the nurses and the doctors, and finally got some results. Around 1 p.m., we were informed that pediatrician was going to call one of the doctors in the neo-natal unit at Valley Children's, to get a second opinion on Isaac's case. The doctor from VC's said that TTN (which is what Isaac has), can last for up to 2 weeks before it stabilizes, but that there is nothing to worry about, just keep an eye on him (like you would for any newborn). With that, we were told that at 3 p.m., that Isaac had been discharged from the nursery, and we were both discharged from the hospital at 5 p.m.
