For Labor day this year, Jim and decided to take the kids up to Sequoia National Park to visit and explore the Crystal Caves.  Since we had to have tickets, and our tour wasn't until 1:30 p.m., we had some time to do some of the other attractions the park offers.
First up, we visited Hospital Rock.

Next, we climbed up to the top of Moro Rock.
 
We ended up leaving Izzy about 1/3 of the way up. 
 
Izzy was happy that the Moro Rock experience was over.
 
Finally it was time to go to the caves.  On the way there, Alex shouted "BEAR!"  Sure enough, he wasn't seeing things, or joking around. 
 
The path down to the Crystal Caves is beautiful, and full of poison oak.
 
I apologize for the quality of some of these pictures.  It is hard to take a descent picture in a cave, while on the move.
 
Is it just me, or does this formation look like a bird?

When leaving the park, we also spotted some deer.
 
Since this was our third time to Sequoia, Jim and I came up with a photo scavenger hunt for the kids to do. They had to find the following:
 
A Bird 
 
A Squirrel (a real one would have been more preferable)
 
Seeds
 
A BIG Pine Cone
 
A Dead Tree
 
Moss
 
A Cool Spider Web
 
A Creek or Stream
 
A Beetle
 
and, some Berries.
