For Mia's birthday this year, I asked her what she wanted to do, and she said, "Go to the beach!" So we decided to take Aunt Deb (since she was visiting us anyways at the time) an visit Avila, Ca, as well as Moro Bay and Rock, and we even stopped in Cambria to visit so old friends, who happen to own The Village Bean coffee and ice cream shop in town.
On the way to Avila, we stopped at Avila Valley Barn, where the kids got to feed goat, go on a hay ride, and pick peaches.
Then we went to Avila beach. Finding parking wasn't fun, and the breeze coming of the ocean was a bit chilly, but the kids had a blast and even built a sand castle.
After we were done at the beach, we drove up the coast to Moro Bay, and visited Moro Rock.
And of course, since we weren't that far away, we decided to end the day with some ice cream from The Village Bean, in Cambria.
If you didn't already know, Mia is OBSESSED with My Little Pony, and her favorite pony in Rainbow Dash. So it was only fitting that for her birthday, I made her a rainbow cake, with Rainbow Dash's cutie mark on it.
